So what exactly is a Scene Queen? I looked it up on numerous internet dictionaries and encyclopeadia's [meaning I checked Urban Dictionary and Wikipedia] and I didn't really come up with anything. Seemingly they are people who have, at one stage, done something [or dated someone] that has brought them into the limelight and then they have managed to hold onto this fame [or internet fame in most cases] long after its over.
And yet I can't help but find these girls interesting and subconciously wondering what it would be like to be one of them. I signed up for a Buzznet account especially, because they all seem to have one [call me sad]. And yet I don't really understand why they are so special...okay so they know some famous people and wear some interesting clothing with wacky hairstyles, but I'm sure there are at least 50 [random estimate] other people I could find who wear the same kinda clothing/ have the same hair etc. and are not eFamous.
Why these girls?
Help me out here?
And after this whole semi-rant, why is it that I would still rather like to be one of them?

it's those girls because they've pretty much all dated a guy in a band at one point or another. and then some of them are friends with those girls who have dated guys in bands.
its just because they are the people who have it all:
- famous boyfriends
- a great body
- (e)famous friends
- enough money to always wear the coolest clothes
- sidekicks?
some of them had famous boyfriends, but mainly they just all happen to hang out in the same hollywood crowd and pretty much ended up networking with each other. they were all the ones that didn't want myspaces. but now that they're 'famous' they have myspace, LJ, buzznet...all of that.

Most of these girls are professional models. They hang out with top desigers, and go to fashion week, and all of that other jazz. Yeah, the did date guys in bands, but most of them were 'famous' before that. It has nothing to do with the fact that they take good pictures. It's their job.

They're famous on the internet because after meeting them you just have to look them up because they're just the fxcking sex (Yeah thats a compliment) And people that haven't actually met them want to because they're the most colourful part of american culture nowadays. Umm, some bxtches don't know howto appreciate it which is why it's dominated by other sub-cultures nowadays.

I don't get it either... but I guess it's because they are pretty. Visual information is one of the things we process first and considering the medium where they are famous (internet), it makes sense. Also, I think the fact that people hate/love them means that what they're doing get 'reaction'. Whatever they do, people react to it and no matter how (positive or negative), if people actually talk about them, it leaves a mark. Kinda.
My personal stand is indifference bordering dislike... because well, they actually don't do anything notable (for me) except look pretty but they are also 'role models' to others. I can usually ignore them but whenever I read that someone actually wants to be like them, my alarm of "that is not logical/I don't understand" goes off and I start posting things like this. Don't get me wrong, they are absolutely pretty but... I could think of tons of other gorgeous women with more substance than them. But then again, it's a matter of opinion. :)
